4 Layer Delay
Our fabricator primarily responsible for handling our 4 layer orders has had a stock interruption, making our typical FR408HR core (between layers 2+3) unavailable. Replenished stock is expected around Aug 3rd.
Unfortunately, our fallback vendor for this is also not currently stocked for this, meaning we cannot fabricate our usual stackup at all in the meantime.
Once we’ve confirmed our standard material is in stock, we’ll be releasing all orders for production. We’ll be expediting any delayed orders to minimize the impact of these delays, but we predict some additional uncertainty and further delays due to production backlogs at our fab caused by these shortages. The soonest we expect to ship standard Isola PCBs is Aug 7th.
If your order is not sensitive to interactions through the core, and not in need of Isola’s outgassing and compliance data, we may be able to fabricate your board with our alternate stackup, detailed here: EM525 core stackup.
If this alternate stackup option will work for you, please place your order and let us know so we can divert it to this option. While timelines are still fuzzy, we should be able to get these through production quicker and more reliably.
